Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Molten metal 17 injected through a tundish 15 is poured into a lower-stage mold 9-1. Since rotating force is being given to a shell mold 8, the molten metal 17 is forced to the inside wall of the mold 9-1 and rotates by receiving the resistance of guide grooves 14-1, by which it is led into a slit 13 and through this it flows into an upper-stage mold 9-2. When the injection of the molten metal 17 is continued, the molten metal 17 overflows a mold partition part 11 and reaches a well 12. The inside dimensions of the castings are assured constant and the casting surface of the inside surface becomes good. The shell mold 8 having finished of pouring is hoisted together with an outside flask 7. It is then turned over and the shell mold 8 is pulled and dropped off from the outer flask 7 to be disintegrated, thence the castings such as holed balls, etc. are taken out.
