Abstract

PURPOSE:To overlap two images easily and form a latent image, without using negative image, by exposing and charging a photoreceptor composed of three layers of dielectric, photo conductor and conductor by the specified method. CONSTITUTION:A conductive drum 1 covered with a dielectric layer 3 and a photo conductor layer 2 from the outer side forms a photoreceptor in three layers. This drum 1 is exposed wholly by a corotron 4 and initial charge is applied uniformly, then an electric charge of the reverse polarity of the charged charge of the layer 3 is trapped in the boundary of the layers 3, 2. When charged in reverse polarity of the initial charge while exposing the drum 1 with the original 7 by the corotron 5, the trap charge in the boundary of the layers 3, 2 is released in the light image bright part, and the charge on the layer 3 is neutralized, and charged in the reverse polarity.
