Abstract

PURPOSE:To conduct perfectly automatic control of the optimum waste gas oxygen concentration with precision by controlling the oxygen concentration in the waste gas through selective use of an fuel-air ratio operation and a furnace pressure operation according to the fuel flow rate. CONSTITUTION:A waste gas oxygen concentration adjuster 1 generates an operation output MVI according to the difference between an oxygen concentration setpoint and the waste gas oxygen concentration measurement value. When the fuel flow rate is higher than the flow rate setpoint set on a fuel flow rate lower-limit comparator 2, the output of the adjuster 1 is changed over to ms-side by a selector switch 3, and the value of PS is kept at PN. When the fuel flow rate is lower than the flow rate lower-limit setpoint, the switch 3 is changed over to PS-side, and the ms is kept at the value directly before the change-over. Setpoint signals are fed through an upper/lower-limit restrictor 4 to a furnace pressure adjuster 5 and through a contact-fitted upper/lower-limit restrictor 6 to a ratio setter 8. A setpoint signal is fed from a theoretical air amount computer 7 to an air flow rate adjuster 9, and the combustion air is adjusted at the setpoint.
