Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize heat loss due to unburnt portion by controlling combustion based on the CO concentration in the exhaust gas from a combusion furnace. CONSTITUTION:In the figure, the heat loss due to excess air is expressed by line A and the heat loss due to CO concentration is expressed by line B. In line C which is the sum of the lines A and B, the heat loss is minimum at point P. An arithmetic unit 11 measures the CO concentration and controls an air-fuel ratio setter 10 so as to bring the CO concentration to the point P. An air amount adjuster 8 is so controlled as to bring the CO concentration to the point P.
