Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent fuel vapor to flow into the carburetor, leading fuel vapor generated in the float chamber into the charcoal canister through the out vent, during idle running at the high carburetor temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The upper space above the float chamber 7 is connected to the charcoal canister 8 through the out vent 12. A stop valve 13 is installed in the out vent 12. The temperature detector 22 is turned off after warming-up has been finished, with the throttle valve 5 has been at idle position, the idling detector 21 is turned off, the valve body 14 reaches the left end position, thus the float chamber 7 of the carburetor is connected in the charcoal canister 8 through the out vent 12. The vaporized fuel is absorbed into activated charcoal in the canister 8.
