Abstract

PURPOSE: To resuck gradually evaporative fuel in response to opening of a conical valve body for preventing exhaust composition from degradation by providing the conical valve body in a portion of an evaporative fuel collector communicating to an intake pipe in an internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: A canister 1 filled with activated charcoal 7 is provided on the upper portion with an inlet opening 2 communicating to a fuel tank 9 to introduce evaporative fuel in the tank 9 through a check valve 10 so that the fuel is adsorbed to the activated charcoal 7. Also, on the upper portion of the canister 1 is provided an outlet opening 3 communicating to the second chamber 14 in a diaphragm valve 8. The second chamber 14 communicates to an intake pipe 17 downstream of a throttle valve 16 through a valve body 22 fixed to a diaphragm 12. Further, negative intake pressure near the throttle valve 16 is introduced into the first chamber 13 in the valve 8 to open and close the valve body 22 so that adsorbed fuel is resucked into the intake pipe 17. The valve body 22 is formed conically to increase the fuel amount as the valve body is opened.
