Improvements introduced into internal combustion engines having at least one container for a vaporizing liquid fuel, and means for drawing a mixture of fuel air into an engine combustion chamber through a throttle valve; comprising the combination of a device for treating vaporized fuel, comprising an accumulator for containing a gas-permeable fuel absorber, a vapor intake line connecting said liquid fuel tank, or each one, with said accumulator tank for absorption of vaporized fuel when the engine is stopped or running at idle speed, and a steam discharge line that connects the accumulator tank to the aforementioned throttle valve to extract vaporized fuel from the accumulator tank during periods of operation the motor.
