Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the recording characteristics which are superior over a wide temperature range and achieve the improvement in endurance by providing the intermediate layer composed primarily of the zinc oxide doped with Al, Ga, In, etc. and further the dielectric layer having mesh-form protrusions, on a conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The intermediate layer composed primarily of the zinc oxide of specific volume resistance 104W109Ωcm doped with one or more kinds of Al, Ga, In and composed of thermosetting resins such as exposy resins and hardeners is provided on a conductive substrate such as, for example, Al plate or polyester film evaporated with Al, and further the dielectric layer having mesh-form protrusions of 5μm or less composed of polyester resin and nitrocellulose as well as, if necessary, pigments and other additives, is laminated thereon. These improve endurance and yield the recording medium having the recording characteristics being superior over a wide humidity range.
