Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a receptor with superior strength, superior heat resistance and satisfactory endurance by forming a photoconductive layer using a binder consisting of a block isocyanate compound and a multifunctional compound and covering the layer with an insulating layer.
CONSTITUTION: On an electrically conductive substrate a photoconductive layer is formed using a thermosetting resin based on a polyisocyanate compound having isocyanate groups blocked with phenols or the like and a multifunctional hydroxy compound such as phenoxy resin or acrylic polyol as a binder for a photoconductive material. An insulating layer is then formed on the layer. The thermosetting resin in the photoconductive layer is a crosslinking resin with superior solvent and heat resistances, and a thermosetting resin with endurance is used in the insulating layer. Accordingly, the resulting receptor has superior heat and solvent resistances, superior adhesion of the photosensitive layer to the substrate, superior electrical characteristics and enhanced endurance.
