PURPOSE: To obtain the captioned photoreceptor which is superior in surface characteristics, has no occurrence of memory phenomena and is good in reproducibility of red-color-base originals by laminating the specific CdS(Cu).nCdCO3(Cu) base photoconductive layer and insulation-type protection layer on a conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The photoconductive layer of about 20W60μ in thickness composed of the CdS(Cu).nCdCO3(Cu) photoconductive powder (a) extremely evenly dispersed with copper (acceptor impurity) 100pts.wt., manganese stearate (b) about 2W4pts.wt. and thermosetting resin (binder) (c) is formed on a conductive substrate, following to which an insulation-type protection layer (silicone resin, vinyl resin, etc. are used) of about 0.2W2μ in thickness is formed thereon to provide the provide the photoreceptor.
