Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor which increases the content of copper phthalocyanine, is highly sensitive, averts the electric charge attenuation characteristics of an inverted S shape, and has high mechanical strength by forming an electric charge transfer layer on an electric charge generating layer dispersed with fine powder of copper phthalocyanine into a binder. CONSTITUTION:An electric charge generating layer contg. 100-400pts.wt. fine powder of crystals of copper phthalocyanine (about 200-300Angstrom rod diameters) in 100pts.wt. a binder resin is formed on a conductive substrate. Next, a soln. of an electric charge transfer agent (derivatives or the like of pyrazoline, carbazole, oxadiazole, etc.) in a binder (may be the same as that for the charge generating layer) is coated on the charge generating layer, whereby the charge transfer layer is formed. Thereby, the electrophotographic receptor which has high photosensitivity over from visible to near infrared wavelength regions, is small in dark attenuation characteristics, increases its mechanical strength when laminated with the charge transfer layer and is superior in print resistance is obtained.
