Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a receptor with high sensitivity and low residual potential by adding a specified disazo compound to a receptor. CONSTITUTION:Disazo pigment represented by formula 1 (where A is an aromatic coupler, each of B1 and B2 is at least one of H, halogen, lower alkyl, OH and lower alkoxy, and B1 and B2 are identical with or different from each other) is dispersed in a charge transferring medium consisting of a charge transferring substance and an insulating binder, and a layer of the dispersion is formed on an electrically conductive layer. A charge generating layer contg. the disazo pigment and a charge transferring layer may be formed on the electrically conductive layer, and the disazo pigment may be added to a charge transfer complex. Thus, a receptor undergoing no reduction in the sensitivity and less increase in the residual charges even after repeated use is obtd.
