Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor low in remaining potential and good in sensitivity, by using a specified disazo pigment as a charge generating material. CONSTITUTION:The disazo pigment to be used as a charge generating material, such as the formula II, has a benzobisoxazole ring represented by the formulaI in which A is an aromatic coupler and B is H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, hydroxy, or acylamino. The desired electrophotographic receptor is obtained by coating said disazo pigment, preferably having >=about 5 micrometer particle diameter, dispersed in a binder solution on a conductive layer, such as an aluminum plate, and further on this film, forming a charge transfer layer containing a charge transfer substance, such as pyrazolines, having 5-30mu of film thickness.
