Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor superior in photosensitivity and durability, by using a specified hydrazone compound superior in carrier transfer capability, compatibility with a binder, and stability against heat and light as a material for carrier transfer. CONSTITUTION:A carrier generating layer 2 and a carrier transfer layer 3 are formed directly or by the medium of an interlayer 5 on a conductive substrare 1. Either of the layers 2, 3 may be upper, and they may be combined in one layer in which the fine particles of the carrier generating substance are dispersed into the carrier transfer phase. The carrier transfer layer is formed by dissolving a hydrazone compound represented by the formula A in which R1, R3, R4 are optionally substituted aryl and R2 is optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl, together with a binder resin, such as an acrylic resin in a solvent, then coating and drying this.
