Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the entitled photoreceptor low in cost, high in sensitivity and flexibility, and effective for various kinds of electrophotographic processes, by providing a photoconductive layer containing vanadyl phthalocyanine and a oxadiazole derivative. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic receptor is made by forming the following photoconductive layer 10 on a conductive substrate 11. The layer 10 consists of a charge carrier generating material 12 and a charge carrier transfer medium 13, and vanadyl phthalocyanine shown by the formulaIis used for the material 12. The medium 13 consists of a charge carrier transfer material and an inactive resin binder, and an oxadiazole derivative represented by the formula II in which R1 is H, alkyl, acyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl, and R2 is alkyl, acyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl, is used as a charge carrier transfer material.
