Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance initial characteristics and repetition characteristics by incorporating one of specified compounds having 2 carbazole rings as an effective component for the electric charge transfer material to be used for a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is formed by laminating on conductive supporting body a charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer containing as the effective component for the charge transfer material at least one of the compounds having 2 carbazole rings represented by formulae I, II, and III in which each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, a condensed polycyclic group, or a heterocyclic group; each of Z1 and Z2 is H atom, or same as said groups, thus permitting deterioration of sensitivity and acceptance potential at the time of repeated uses to be prevented and the photosensitive body to be successively used for a long time.
