Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance film forming performance, flexibility, and mechanical strength of a photosensitive layer by using a specified compound as an electric charge transfer material. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate contains an electric charge generating material and as a charge transfer material one of the compound represented by formula I in which each of R<1> and R<2> is H, alkyl, allyl, aralkyl, or aryl, each optionally same or different, each of R<3> and R<4> is alkyl, allyl, aralkyl, or aryl, and each optionally same or different, thus permitting the obtained positively chargeable electrophotographic sensitive body to be superior in electrophotographic characteristics, such as photosensitivity and charging characteristics and good in mechanical strength and durability.
