Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor having high sensitivity and superior durability against repeated uses, by adding a specified tetrazole compound to a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge transfer layer formed as a component of a laminated photosensitive layer together with a charge generating layer on a conductive substrate contains a tetrazole compound, by 10-500pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. binder, represented by the formula in which R1-R4 are each optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, or an atomic group needed to complete a 5- or 6-membered ring together with N, and R5-R8 are each H, halogen, OH, CN, or an optionally substituted group, such as alkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyl, aryl, or amino, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic receptor to have superior durability almost free of deterioration of charging characteristics and sensitivity even after repeated uses exceeding few tens of thousand times.
