Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor high in sensitivity and durability, by adding a specified bisazo compound represented by the general formula to a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:To a photosensitive layer is added a bisazo compound represented by the general formulaIin which Ar1, Ar2 are each an optionally substituted aromatic carbon ring or hetero ring; R1, R2 are each an electron attractive group or H, and at least one of them is an electron attractive group; A is one of 5 formula II (X is hydroxy, -(R4NR5), or -NHSO2-R5; R4, R5 are H, or optionally substituted alkyl; R6 is optionally substituted alkyl or aryl; Z is an atomic group for forming an optionally substituted aromatic carbon or hetero ring; R3 is H or optionally substituted amino, carbamoyl, carboxy, or their ester; A' is optionally substituted aryl; n is 1 or 2; and m is 0, 1 or 2).
