Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor having high sensitivity, low remaining potential, and good durability, by adding a disazo pigment having a triazole ring to a photosensitive layer, especially to a charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer, especially the carge generating layer of a laminate photoreceptor contains a disazo pigment represented by the formulaIin which A is an aromatic coupler represented by the formula II, III, or IV; Ph1, Ph2 are optionally substituted p-phenyhene; Ar is optionally substituted aryl; X is a group forming a benzene, naphthalene, anthracene, carbazole, or dibenzofuran ring; Y is CONR1R2, R1 being H, or optionally substituted alkyl or phenyl, R2 being alkyl, phenyl, or naphthyl, all optionally substituted; and R3 is same as R1. The photoreceptor thus obtained has high sensitivity, low remaining potential, and good durability.
