Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor rich in flexibility and capable of forming a sharp copy, by forming a photosensitive layer containing a specified hydrazone compound as a photoconductive component on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:A hydrazone compound represented by formula (1) (R1 is CH3, C2H5, C2H4OH, or C2H4Cl; R2 is CH3, C2H5, benzyl, or phenyl; R3 is Cl, Br, 1- 4C alkyl, alkocy, dialkylamino, or NO2) is used as a photoconductive component, and photosensitive layer 2 consisting of this compound, a sensitizing dye, and a binding resin is formed on conductive substrate 1. Otherwise, charge carrier generating substance 3 (perylene dye, Se, or the like) is dispersed in the solution of charge transfer medium 4 containing this bydrazone compound and a binder, and this fluid is coated on substrate 1 to form photosensitive layer 2'. As a result, a photoreceptor small in half decay exposure quantity, and high in sensitivity and flexibility can be obtained.
