Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic receptor high in sensitivity, and flexibility, by forming on a conductive substrate a photosensitive layer containing a sepcified anil compound as a photoconductive component.
CONSTITUTION: An anil compound represented by formula (R1 is CH3, C2H5, CH2CH2OH, or C2H4Cl; R2 is optionally substituted phenyl, naphthyl, heterocyclic, or 1W10C alkyl) as a photoconductive component is dissolved in tetrahydrofuran together with a binder resin (epoxy resin, polycarbonate, or the like), and a charge carrier generating substance (Se, azo dye, or inorganic or organic pigments) is dispersed in the above charge transfer medium 4 dissolved in tetrahydrofuran. This dispersion fluid is coated and dried on conductive substrate 1 to form photosensitive layer 2'. Otherwise, the solution dissolving both this anil compound and a sensitizing dye is coated and dried on substrate 1 to form photosensitive layer 2, permitting the electrophotographic receptor thus obtained to be formed into a high flexibility belt and to form a high sensitivity sharp image.
