Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve sensitivity and flexibility and obtain distinct copied images by containing the specific hydrazone compounds in the photosensitive layer.
CONSTITUTION: The coating comprising dissolving one or more kinds of the hydrazone compounds expressed by formula I (R1 is CH3, C2H5, benzyl, phenyl; A is aromatic ring) and formula II (R1 is the same as above, R2 is H, CH3; R3 is H, alkoxyl, dialkyl amino) together with sensitizing dyes (brilliant green, etc.) and binders (resins such as polycarbonate) is coated on a conductive substrate 1 and is then dried to form a photosensitive layer 2. This yields the photoreceptor of good sensitivity and flexibility. Since said hydrazone compounds have virtually no absorbing characteristic of light of visible regions, the sensitizing dyes having absorption in the visible regions are added for the purpose of image formation.
