Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor high in sensitivity and rich in flexibility, by adding a charge generating substance, and a charge transfer substance made of a specified hydrazone compound to form a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A hydrazone compound represented by the formula in which R1 is optionally substituted alkyl, R2 is H, halogen, nitro, hydroxy, or alkyl, alkoxy, amino each optionally substituted, and n is 1-3 is used as a charge transfer substance. A charge generating substance, such as an Se-Te alloy or ''CI Pigment Blue 25 (CI-21180 )'' 3 is dispersed into a charge transfer medium 4 composed of said hydrazone compound and a binder resin to form a photosensitive layer 2 having 3- 50mu thickness on a conductive substrate, thus a desired electrophotographic receptor being obtained.
