Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled receptor having small memory effect and capable of forming fine images repeatedly and stably by laying a binder type photosensitive layer contg. dispersed encapsulated zinc oxide on an electrically conductive support with a middle layer inbetween.
CONSTITUTION: Photoconductive zinc oxide powder is covered with a capsule wall membrane of silicone resin, urethane resin or the like, a sensitizer is sealed in the membrane, and the resulting photoconductive material is used. About 0.1W6μ thick middle layer 5 of a water soluble polymer such as a vinyl alcohol polymer or an N- contg. vinyl polymer is laid on electrically conductive support 4 formed by laying electrically conductive layer 3 on substrate 1 with adhesive layer 2 inbetween, and layer 5 is covered with photoconductive photosensitive layer 6 formed by dispersing the above-mentioned photoconductive material in binder resin. Thus, an electrophotographic receptor is obtd.
