Abstract
PURPOSE: To form an electrophotographic receptor low in memory effect, by dispersing into a binder resin a photoconductive material obtained by encapsulating sensitized zinc oxide powder and using this as a photosensitive layer.
CONSTITUTION: Photoconductive zinc oxide powder is added to a solution of a sensitizer, such as fluorescein or erythrosine, stirred, filtered, and dried to form a sensitized zinc oxide, and capsule wall films of 5ÅW1μ thickness consisting of a silicone resin or urethane resin are formed on the surfaces of the above powder particles by the coacervation or in situ method, or the like to permit them to serve as a photoconductive material. 100pts.wt. of the above photoconductive material and 5W45pts.wt. of a binder resin consisting of a thermosetting acrylic resin component and an amino resin component in a weight ratio of 1:0.05W15 are mixed and a photosensitive layer is formed on a conductive substrate using this mixture to form a photoreceptor.
