Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the carrier for developing electrostatic charge images of superior endurance, stable friction charging characteristics and long life by coating the surfaces of nuclear particles for the carrier by modified silicone resin.
CONSTITUTION: The solution of the modified silicone resin obtained by condensation-addition then modification of alkyd resin or epoxy resin is coated on the nuclear particles (preferably about 30W1,000μ in grain size) for the carrier by a fluidized bed method, dipping method or the like and these are dried and set to form the films about 0.1W20μ thick, whereby the carrier is provided.
