Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain stable images over a long term by forming many recesses and small holes on the surface of a developer support and embedding a substance increasing the triboelectric charging quantity of a developer in the recesses, etc. CONSTITUTION:To increase the triboelectric charging quantity of a one-component developer to a proper value, a charge controller is added to the developer, yet when the controller is used over a long term, developer support 9 is coated. As a result, the charging quantity is not increased to the proper value to cause a reduction in the image density. In order to prevent the coating, many recesses and small holes 11 are formed in alumite sleeve 10 of support 9, and nylon 66 is embedded in recesses and holes 11. When copy is repeated 30,000 times using the resulting sleeve, no reduction in the image density is caused since the nylon 66 increases the charging quantity to the proper value. Thus, stable images are obtd. over a long term.
