Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance durability of a developer and image density, by sufficiently stirring a low charged toner and a carrier to start development and feeding a high charged toner.
CONSTITUTION: At start of operation, a low charged toner and a carrier are sufficiently stirred with agitation rollers 7, 7 to uniformize the charge of developer D and to keep the charge amount in the fixed range. The latent image of photoreceptor 2 is developed with a magnetic brush formed on sleeve 3 to form a visible image with nonreduced density. High charged toner T in hopper 5 is supplied with deterioration of developer D to restore the characteristics of developer D and preventing insufficiency of restoration of the toner characteristics and lowering of image density as is the case of feed of low charged toner or use of high charged toner at start.
