Abstract

PURPOSE: To form an image of high quality at a high speed by fixing a ferromagnetic sleeve, which is formed on its surface with a number of zxial projections, to the outer periphery of a non-magnetic sleeve.
CONSTITUTION: A ferromagnetic sleeve 4, which is formed on its surface with a number of projections, is fixed to the outer periphery of a non-magnetic sleeve 3 which is mounted rotatably to a shaft 2 while accommodating a developing magnet 1. When those sleeves 3 and 4 are turned counter-clockwise, the magnetic toners 6, which are attracted onto the surface of the sleeve 4 by the magnetic attraction of the magnet 1, are conveyed downward while their quantity of supply being regulated by a docator 8. In the developing region closes to a photosensitive element 12, the toners 6 are brought into contact with the electrostatic latent image upon the element thereby to visualize the laten image. In this instance, a high magnetic gradient in the developing region can be increased to raise the heads of the developing liquid as well as the charging density of the agent thereby to attain the desired object
