Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a multiple sheet copying method free from leakage of electrostatic latent images by disturbing the two-component developers in contact with an electrostatic latent image carrying body while moving the developer layer of said developer in the same direction at nearly the same speed as that of the electrostatic latent image carrying body.
CONSTITUTION: When a sleeve 10 rotates, the developer 5 is scooped up by the action of the magnetic force of scooping-up magnets 11a, 11b, and the thickness of the developer layer is set at G1 by a doctor plate 13. The developer having passed the doctor plate 13 forms a magnetic brush on the sleeve 10 and is contacted with a photosensitive plate 3. At this time, the gap G2 between the photosensitive plate 3 and the sleeve 10 is made smaller than the thickness G1 of the developer layer to force the developer toward the photoreceptor. The peripheral speed Vs of the sleeve 10 and the moving speed Vp of the photosensitive plate 3 are the same and the developer 5 in contact with the photosensitive plate 3 is disturbed of its magnetic carrier by the effect of the magnetic force of the bar-shaped magnet 11c. As a result, there is no leakage of the electrostatic magnet images and multiple sheets of copying of high density may be performed.
