Abstract

PURPOSE: To alleviate abrasion of a latent image forming medium of negative triboelectricity and prevent deterioration of typing density above all, by providing a specified resin coating on magnetic particles.
CONSTITUTION: Polyester, polyacrylonitrile, or ABS resin is dissolved in a proper solvent, and a high negative chargeability carrier of magnetic particles coated with 0.1W1.5 μ thick resin film is formed by a roatry drying method. When positive development is effected using a positive chargeability toner on a high negative chargeability latent image forming medium, such as ZnO type photoconductors, the carrier charges the toner highly positively, and the medium is rubbed with a negative chargeability developer made of a mixture of the toner and the carrier, permitting negatively charged latent image intensity to be little deteriorated in development.
