Abstract

PURPOSE:To alleviate abrasion of a latent image forming medium of positive chargeability and prevent deterioration of typing density above all, by coating a specified resin on magnetic particles. CONSTITUTION:Aniline-formaldehyde resin or polyimide resin is dissolved in a proper solvent, and a high positive chargeability carrier of magnetic particles coated with a 0.1-1.5 mu thick resin film is formed by a rotary drying method. When positive development is effected by uniform positively charging corona discharge using a negative chargeability toner on a positive chargeability photoconductor, such as polyvinylcarbazoles, the toner is highly charged by using the carrier coated with a high positive chargeability resin, and on the other hand, the photoconductor is rubbed with a positive chargeability developer made of a mixture of the negative chargeability toner and the high positive chargeability carrier, therefore permitting the intensity of the latent image formed on the photoconductor to be little charged in development and good development to be effected.
