Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide flexibility, to avoid the effect of humidity and to eliminate the need for earthing trouble, by constituting a conductive support consisting of a conductive plastic film filled with conductive carbon black and a metallic thin layer. CONSTITUTION:The laminating construction with a conductive plastic film filling conductive carbon black in a plastic and a metallic thin layer (foil or evaporated film) is adopted as a conductive support for an electrophotographic receptor. As to the conductive plastic film, the rate of mixing of the plastic and the conductive carbon is 100:2-100 in weight ratio and the volume resistivity is 1-10<3>OMEGA-cm and the film is on market. The thickess of the conductive plastic film is 50-300mum, and a metallic thin layer (100-2,000Angstrom for evaporated layer and 5-30mum for foil) is provided on it, and a photoconductive layer is provided on a free surface of the metallic thin layer with a conventional method.
