Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve printing resistance by selecting a rigid material with superior adhesiveness to a photoconductive layer independently of electrical characteristics as a hydrophobic polymer constituting an ink accepting part. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a photoconductive element prepared by coating a conductive supporting element 5 with a photoconductive layer 1 formed by dispersing photoconductive particles such as zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and cadmium sulfide into insulating resin is treated by the formation of an electrostatic latent image by charging and picture exposure and coating of an insulating liquid film 2 such as hexane, n-heptane and isooctane or the same treatments reversed in their order. Then a conductive developer 3 which does not dissolve in said insulating liquid and includes an insensible fat transforming agent to the photoconductive layer is applied to the insulating liquid film and an electrode 4 is applied to he developer, so that the developer 3 is replaced with the film 2 on the photostatic latent image part or no-latent image part of the photoconductive layer 1.
