Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent trailing of an image by filling fine particles in recesses present on the disclosed surface of the uppermost layer of laminated layers on a conductive supporting body. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous material layer containing silicon laminated on the conductive supporting body 1 of an a-Si photosensitive body includes at least a photoconductive layer 3. The recesses present on the disclosed surface 5 of the uppermost layer 4 are filled with the fine particles 6, such as inorganic or organic powder having a specific resistivity of >=10<12>OMEGA.cm, thus permitting products due to corona discharge to be made less liable to adhere to the surface 5 of the a-Si photosensitive body by the presence of fine roughness on the surface 5 filled with the fine particles 6 on the surface 5, and consequently, trailing of an image to be effectively prevented.
