PURPOSE:To prevent trailing of an image by filling recesses present on the surface of the amorphous material layer containing silicon on a conductive supporting body with fine thermoplastic resin particles and melting them by heat treatment to bury each recess with a resin layer united in one body. CONSTITUTION:The recesses present on the surface 5 of the amorphous material layer containing silicon on the conductive supporting body 1 are filled with the fine thermoplastic resin particles 6, preferably, such as acrylic resin or vinyl chloride resin low in heat deformation temperature, and melted by heat treatment to form a resin layer 6' in one body in each recess, thus permitting products due to corona discharge to be made less liable to adhere to the surface 5 and adsorption of water and moisture to be prevented, and consequently, trailing of an image to be effectively prevented.
