Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the accumulation of residual potential and improve sensitivity, durability, etc. by forming an electric charge generating layer using a thermoplastic resin for a binder on a conductive substrate and forming an electric charge transport layer using a curable resin as a binder on said layer.
CONSTITUTION: An electric charge generating layer consisting in dispersing an electric charge generating material (may be either of inorganic or organic system such as CdS and copper phthalocyanine) in a thermoplastic resin is formed on a conductive substrate. Next, an electric charge transport layer consisting in dispersing an electron acceptive material (carboxylic acid anhydride; compound having NO2, CN groups etc.) into a thermosetting resin or photosetting resin is formed on the generating layer. The thus obtained photoreceptor has good strength and solvent resistance because the surface is the curable resin, hence even if it is repeatedly used, it is not deteriorated and its durability is improved.
