Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a stepped part due to a coil conductor layer easily by using a thermosetting resist film, obained by thermally setting photoresist, as part of an insulating layer between an upper and a lower magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:An insulating layer between an upper and lower magnetic material other than an insulating film 3 between layers as a base material for coil conductor films 2 is formed of a thermosetting resist film 5, and the distance between the upper and lower magnetic materials is about >=8mum. As a material for the film 5, positive type photoresist provides high resolution relatively with ease and its electric characteristics are also superior. The usable positive type photoresist is, for example, AZ photoresist or ones equivalent to it. When the film 5 is used, however, its surface state exerts evil influence upon the magnetic characteristics of a magnetic film 4 formed at the upper part of the film 5, so its surface should be free of irregularity in resist coating.
