Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to obtain high recording density, by providing resin layer including polyimide resin or the like on an Al alloy base and enabling to form the thin film magnetic layer due to sputtering and vapor deposition through increased substrate surface accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: On an Al alloy substrate, the resin layer of polyimide resin (more preferable hetero-ring) including or not including the fine powder of inorganic material such as aluminum silicon carbide and silica, or silicone resin (more preferable, ladder type polyorganosiloxane) is provided. Further, on it, after providing a layer to improve the adhesive strength between the resin layer and the magnetic substance layer as required, the thin film magnetic substance layer is formed with sputtering or vapor deposition method.
