Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a fine record by adding electrically conductive zinc oxide and an aromatic compound having a conjugated double bond in its molecule to an electrically conductive layer to provide constant electric conductivity independently of a humidity change from a low humidity to a high humidity.
CONSTITUTION: An electrically conductive layer is formed on a supporter for the recording sheet of an electrostatic recording body or the like, using an electrically conductive coating containing electrically conductive zinc oxide and an aromatic compound such as stilbene azo dye having one or more conjugated double bonds in its molecule. An aromatic compound of diaminostilbene type, cumarin type or the like which is a fluorescent dye is used esp. preferably. Thus, even if the amt. of the zinc oxide used is reduced, an electrically conductive layer of superior conductivity is obtained. On the layer a dielectric layer containing polyester resin, calcium carbide, etc. is formed to produce a recording support. The amt. of the coating for the conductive layer coated can be reduced, and a fine image is obtained at a relative humidity of 20%RHW80%RH or more at 25°C.
