Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a receptor capable of accomplishing dichromatic copy from a polychromatic original in a single exposure process by forming the specified first photoconductive layer and the specified second photoconductive layer on an electrically conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: On electrically conductive substrate 11 with a vol. resistivity of about 1010Ωcm or less 10W150μ thick first photoconductive layer 12 made of amorphous selenium which may contain about 20wt% or less of tellurium and second photosensitive layer 14 made of eutectic complex of pyrylium type dye and resin are laminated to manufacture a receptor. Layer 12 has sufficient sensitivity to nonred light and is charged by positive corona charging. Layer 14 contains 0.5W4wt% of the dye and is charged with both positive and negative corona chargings. The red sensitivity of layer 14 is almost equal (about 0.8 time) to the sensitivity to the whole wavelength region, i.e., the white sensitivity.
