Abstract

PURPOSE: To recognize the fault of another processor by minimizing the addition of hardware while lightening a load on a common bus in terms of software, by providing a fault discriminating circuit on the common bus.
CONSTITUTION: Processors 11W1n are connected to common bus A, to which fault discriminating circuit 9 is connected which detects and discriminates faluts of processors 11W1n, and state change communication signal line A5 is further added as a signal line of common bus A, in addition to signal lines A1WA4. Then, circuit 9, disconnected logically from common bus A under normal condition, is started when a state change communication signal is inputted via signal line A5. After bus occupation control is exercised via signal line A4, a bus service permission is obtained and signal line A5 of common bus A is used to send fault information in time- division mode, thereby enabling respective processors 11W1n to grasp the state of the system by the fault information.
