Abstract

PURPOSE: To blow air at specified temperature stably into a blast furnace and stabilize the operating conditions of the blast furnace and Si content in molten iron, by securely controlling the amount of heat accumulation in the regenerator in hot stove for blast furnace.
CONSTITUTION: A combustion initial air quantity calculating device 59 calculates the air quantity in the initial period t0 from combustion gas quantity set value 64 and air/fuel ratio set value, and applies the value to a combustion air quantity regulating valve ABV. At the same time, a fuel gas flow rate calculating device 54 calculates the gas quantity in the initial period t0, and applies the signal to a combustion gas quantity regulating valve GBV, so that combustion is started in a combustion chamber 10. A detector 56 monitors the waste gas temperature, and predicts the waste gas temperature Ti at the end t3 of combustion. By the output Ti of a waste gas temperature calculating device 57, a reducing air flow rate calculating device 58 computes the air flow rate to be reduced from the difference from a target temperature 65Ts, and controls the valve ABV through a switch 62. At this time, the gas flow rate varies, following up so that the air/fuel ratio may be kept constant. This operation is repeated by a proper number of times during combustion period, and the final waste gas temperature reaches the target temperature Ts of about 350°C.
