Abstract

PURPOSE: To supply hot air of specified temperature and volume always to a blast furnce, by fixing the opening degree of the ventilation control valve in the preceding low temperature furnace, and adjusting the opening degree of the ventilation control valve in the succeeding high temperature furnace, when blowing hot air into blast furnace from hot stove in the stackered parallel system.
CONSTITUTION: Four hot stoves 1HSW4HS are used for a blast furnace BF, operating sequentially from 1HSW4HS while overlapping the blowing period. In the blowing period when the preceding stove and succeeding stove overlap, the hot air temperature at the exit of the preceding stove is lower than the target temperature, and the hot air temperature at the exit of the succeeding stove is higher than the target temperature. First, an upward control UP is given by increasing the opening degree of blow butterfly valve BBV4 in the succeeding stove gradually up to full opening. Then, a downward control DOWN is given by decreasing the opening degree of butterfly valve BBV3 in the preceding stove gradually up to full closure. These upward and downward controls are performed in an automatic control deivce 45 which is intended to keep the temperature of hot air blow to the blast furnace at the specified value, so that hot air of specified temperature and volume may be always supplied to the blast furnace.
