Abstract

PURPOSE: To control inside temperature of a furnace quickly and surely to attain a specified temperature in a device that dries and bakes paint applied to material such as an iron plate, wire rod etc. by making the ratio of the volume of supply obf combustion exhaust gas to that of gas for cooling and thereby controlling inside temperature of the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: The ratio of the volume of combustion exhaust gas of about 500°C supplied from a gas supply pipe 16 to a furnace to the volume of normal temperature gas for cooling supplied from a piping 24 for cooling is made variable by actuating automatic gas supply volume regulating valves C1WC4 and automatic air supply quantity regulating valves D1WD4 to obtain required temperature at each zone A1WA4. At this time, the temperature is controlled only by varying the ratio, so as to make the total volume of supplied combustion exhaust gas and cooling gas always constant. The total volume is always made equal to the volume (a value necessary to maintain the concentration of evaporation gas of a solvent in the furnace out of the limit of explosion) of gas absorbed from a suction pipe 8.
