Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to control the amount of air at a satisfactory air-fuel ratio by controlling the amount of air through the amount of pulverized coal at a burner inlet which is obtaind from a coal mill dynamic characteristic model, in controlling the amount of air around a mill taking the dynamic characteristic delay of the mill.
CONSTITUTION: In a pulverized coal fired boiler, the amount 41 of the pulverized coal at the burner inlet is delayed by several minutes with reference to a mill master signal 27, so that an excess of air exists transiently. Therefore, a coal feeder command signal 29 is reduced into the amount 41 of pulverized coal at the burner inlet which is predicated on the basis of the coal mill dynamic characteristic model 40 using the primary air pressure difference and the mill pressure difference as parameters, and a damper for secondary air is controlled using the reduced value as a set point signal for a recording controller for compartment secondary air flow rate. In addition, the dynamic characteristic model 40 is sequentially corrected in accordance with the deviation of the actual proces amount of the mill from the process amount calculated based on the model.
