Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high compression ratio while preventing the temperature rise in discharge gas by the method wherein suction and discharge devices are provided inside the cylinder of a compressor, a cooler is provided between the low pressure side and the high pressure side, and coolant gas is compressed in two stages.
CONSTITUTION: Low-temperature, low-pressure coolant gas which has returned from the freezing cycle outside sealed case 1 to low-pressure piping 9 is sucked into low-pressure side cylinder space 7 from low-pressure side suction port 10 of cylinder 3. Then, it is compressed to intermediate pressure, lower than the specified high compression level, and is returned to high-pressure side piping 16 again from low- pressure side discharge port 12 via low-pressure discharge pipe 17 and cooler 18. Coolant gas, which has become low temperature and intermediate pressure, is sucked into high-pressure side cylinder space 8 from high-pressure side suction port 15. It is compressed to the specified high pressure, and thus compression is operated in two stages.
