Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heating/cooling capacity of a rotary compressor and reduce the temperature of its discharge gas, by injecting refrigerant gas separated by a separator into high pressure gas in the compressor's compression chamber and then injecting refrigerant liquid from the compressor outlet into the high pressure gas.
CONSTITUTION: High pressure refrigerant discharged from a rotary compressor 1 at the time of cooling operation is circulated in a refrigerating cycle through a conduit 701, 4-way valve 6a, condenser 2, 4-way valve 6b, capillary tube 5a, gas-liquid separator 4, capillary tube 5b, 4-way valve 6b and condenser 3 to the compressor 1. In this case, part of liquid from the discharge side of condenser 2 is introduced from a bypass tube 801 into the high pressure side 38 of compressor's compression chamber 30 after the pressure becomes higher than the suction pressure, and part of gas separated from the separator 4 is fed from a bypass tube 802 into the high pressure side 38 after the pressure becomes equal to the suction pressure.
