Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a pump which bears high pressure by reducing the pressure difference at the seal part and obtaining a sure seal, under the utilization of the characteristics that the head per stage in a multistage pump is 1/n of the discharge pressure (n=number of stages).
CONSTITUTION: The first stage pump chamber 10a which is communicated with a suction port 16 is directly interconnected with the contiguous second pump chamber 10b, and the second pump chamber 10b is interconnected, through the space 15a on one end side and the space 15b on the other side which communicates to the space 15a, with the third pump chamber 10c on the other end side. The third pump chamber 10c is directly interconnected with the contiguous fourth pump chamber 10d, and the fourth pump chamber 10d is interconnected with the fifth pump chamber 10e on one end side through spaces 15c and 15d. Thus pump chamber successively communicate to the next from the outside to the inside through two stages and finally communicate to a discharge port 17.
